A company-name or domain registration does not give you trademark rights. Only a trademark protects the brand you trade under against others using a confusingly similar mark for similar goods or services.

It depends on the office — typically a few months for examination, then an opposition window after publication. We confirm the expected timeline for your jurisdiction before filing.

An EU trademark (EUTM) covers all 27 EU countries in one filing and is usually best once you are active in several EU markets. National marks suit a single key market, or countries outside the EU such as the UK, Switzerland and Norway.

No. Since 1 January 2021 an EU trademark no longer covers the United Kingdom, so brands trading in or into the UK need a separate UK filing.

Yes. Through the Madrid System (WIPO) you can extend a base mark to many countries with one international application. We handle Madrid filings on request.

If you need to change or cancel, contact us promptly. Before the application is filed we can usually adjust or stop it; once official fees are paid to the office they are non-refundable.

Most trademarks renew every 10 years. We can track your deadline and handle the renewal, including the late-renewal grace window where one applies.
